Scaramouche's Monetary Interest Policy
Scaramouche's activities are intended to be
90-95%
devoted to public service and 5-10% commercial.
Under those circumstances, you may want to consider
whether we are influenced by business interests.
Our business activities are expected to pay the costs of maintaining a website and other efforts. We'll be satisfied to break even.
1) You can bet your boots that our store represents mostly intended sales, from which we hope to derive income indirectly.
2) We receive commissions on transactions that refer you to amazon.ca, amazon.com, and other vendors for the purchase of recommended books, software, etc. These commissions are included in the vendor's selling price and don't cost you anything extra. If you've decided to buy something we suggested, you'll be helping us pay the cost of this website. A noble gesture, indeed!
3) In the store and out, this icon shows everything that gives us direct monetary compensation or discounts
If you don't see this icon, then we're not deriving any
monetary benefit.
In text-only documents, you may see this symbol meaning the same:
{$$}
4) All over this site, you'll see text festooned
by
a little .
Scaramouche is an affiliate of Alpha Corporation; they pay us for
referring prospective sales to them. We can find lots
of uses for Alpha Five Relational Database Manager and they pay us for
advising people to use Alpha Five. So click on the
any time you like to find out more about this nifty application.
(You only need one.)
Regardless of whether the links and recommendations we give you are compensated or not, we check them pretty thoroughly before publishing them. If you find a bad apple, please let us know about them. Be sure that you use our e-mail address,
schf@shaw.ca
Your correspondence in this matter will be kept confidential and will not be retained beyond our investigation.
